HELLO

Would you like to know who is actually behind ASK AVSERVICES Then you are exactly right here!

My name is Michael and I'm in my 50’s with years on top.

I gave up my main job as a former retail and service manager which I joined as an assistant in 1986, back in the day when appliances and TV’s were rented, and stores such as Rumbelows, DER, Granada and Rediffusion existed, and over the years worked for many contractors, completing industry training programs, and carrying out repairs and installations for many retailers, including Comet, Laskeys, Empire Direct, Best Buy and Dixons stores group to name a few.

Years later in the early noughties I formed AVServices and provided independent repairs and reports and installations for many insurance/ warranty companies and retailers, and with the boom of the internet, and faceless companies, we as a company took off, with a team of who I can only describe as to this day friends, and brothers, and my family of installers and independent engineers providing services to many companies, for decades.

When COVID arrived we were hit with a difficult task, to continue with the repairs workshop, knowing spares were not available, and the price of spare parts had quadrupled, while maintaining all the restrictions, while the cost of a replacement appliance had fallen, we could copy other companies, charge a callout, also knowing the above information, which myself, daughter and son, felt unscrupulous and would always want to provide a free verbal estimate, prior to arrival, based on the information provided by the customer, or to close the workshop and just concentrate on appliance installations, which as a family team, we could operate safe distance protocols.

We now have a list of companies we provide installations for, and specialise in integrated appliances, most commonly providing service of multi appliance installation, and where a standard installation is either not available, or where the supplied installer could not complete the job.

We put a lot of heart and love into every installation, and treat it as if it was our own appliance and home.
